The campaign “For Security Together” was held from October 20 to November 6.
In order to increase the level of public safety, coordinate the activities of subjects of crime prevention in the field of fire safety, and activate fire prevention work in the autumn-winter period from October 20 to November 6, 2025, the republican preventive action “For safety together” (hereinafter referred to as the action) is being held.
Goal:
reducing the risk of people dying from external causes, including fires, due to citizens' failure to comply with the basics of life safety, including fire safety regulations;
education, including legal education, of citizens in matters of ensuring the safety of life, including fire safety;
raising public awareness about the possibilities of government organizations to provide services (assistance) in the field of fire safety, strengthening law and order, and preventing offenses committed by citizens under the influence of alcohol.
Tasks:
dissemination of knowledge about the safety of life in society and clarification of the provisions of existing regulatory legal acts in order to build confidence in the need to comply with legislation and prevent offenses in this area.;
study of the security status of households (apartments) of citizens;
consolidating the efforts of crime prevention entities to eliminate the causes and conditions that contribute to the death of people from external causes, including fires, in households (apartments) of single and lonely elderly and disabled people, families for whom it was decided to have criteria and indicators of a socially dangerous situation, citizens who use their homes for drinking alcoholic beverages, as well as the collection of persons leading an antisocial lifestyle.
As part of the campaign, explanatory work was carried out with the staff on the following issues:
the inadmissibility of leaving children unattended, the criminal liability of parents for leaving young children in danger (art. 159 “Abandonment in danger” of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus);
prevention of fires and deaths from them, including due to careless handling of fire while intoxicated;
compliance with fire safety requirements when breeding cows on household plots;
compliance with the rules for the use of gas in everyday life, installation of carbon monoxide detectors in rooms with gas equipment.
