How scammers operate

Vishing is a type of telephone fraud in which attackers pose as employees of a bank, law enforcement agencies, or other organizations and try to obtain confidential information.
Fraudsters can report allegedly suspicious card transactions, ask you to name codes from SMS messages, bank card details, or install special applications on your mobile phone. Remember: bank employees never ask for full card details, CVV code, passwords, or confirmation codes over the phone.
How to protect yourself
To avoid becoming a victim of scams:
- verify the authenticity of accounts and organization pages.;
- Don't click on suspicious links.;
- do not share bank card details and SMS codes with unauthorized persons.;
- use complex passwords and two-factor authentication.;
- carefully check the information about the promotions and special offers.;
- do not transfer funds to strangers without verifying the information.
